Marijuana is not a “one size fits all” product, and in fact different forms of it can be used for different kinds of effects. For those who don’t want the psychoactive effects of cannabis but would like the relaxation and pain relief of its physical effects, there are CBD products.
Short for Cannabidiol, CBD is just one of the numerous cannabinoids (molecule components) found in the marijuana plant. Second only to THC, it is one of the most active ingredients of the plant. Even in states without full legalization (like Arizona, where only medical use is legal), CBD is often used to treat a variety of physical and mental conditions.
At All Greens Dispensary, we offer a wide range of CBD products that are ready for use, from edibles to concentrates, vapes, and more. But for those who want to get creative and have more options at their disposal, we also provide CBD flower. You can add the flower straight to a variety of products, though you may want to decarboxylate it for maximum benefits (simply do this by heating it for about 110 minutes on low heat in an oven).
Our associates are happy to talk with you about the different ways you can use CBD flower and what may be best suited for your lifestyle. So please feel free to ask questions! In the meantime, here are 7 great ways to use CBD flower for everyday use:
1. Tea
CBD flower is an easy and natural component to any tea. You can blend it with regular black or green tea leaves or loose leaf tea for an energizing boost. Or, increase its relaxation effects by merging the flower with Chamomile CBD (to treat stress and help with sleep) or Peppermint CBD (great for nausea and upset stomachs).
2. In a Bath
That’s right — a CBD bath bomb! You can toss the flower straight in the tub while its filling up, or you can make your own actual bath bombs. Here’s a great how to on YouTube, though you may see a few different methods on the internet.
3. Coconut Oil
Just as with CBD, there are a wide variety of uses for coconut oil. Since CBD is fat soluble, an easy way to combine the two is to stir in small portions of flower straight into heated up coconut oil. You can also add butter (and a bit of water) to make your own coconut-CBD butter!
4. Honey
Like coconut oil, honey is another tasty option for CBD flower. You can mix it straight into any honey you wish, though you may want to heat it up first to make the process smoother.
5. As Seasoning
Sprinkle the flower as a seasoning on any dish you like, either by itself or with other seasonings. Just be careful if you are sharing it with anyone, as they may not want the effects.
6. In Kombucha
Kombucha has been incredibly popular in recent years thanks to its numerous health benefits. If you’re not a huge fan of how CBD tastes, mixing it into kombucha will mask the flavor well. You can use any store-bought komucha and stir it in, though you can also try your hand at making your own CBD kombucha. Here’s a great recipe for cannabis kombucha from Leafly.
7. In Lotion
Many people enjoy using CBD topically for sore muscles, aches and pains (or just to achieve an overall calming effect). Bust out your favorite body lotion and sprinkle in some flower. Consider mixing it all together in a resealable container so you can save it for whenever you need it.
